Deletion and portability

Indraft holds personal data about people who never chose us: your customers. You are the controller and we are the processor, which means their rights are exercised through you, and our job is to be able to satisfy them when you ask.

These are obligations, not features, so we state times rather than intentions.

RequestCommitted
Workspace deletion Scheduled immediately, destroyed within 7 days
Erasure of one person's record Within 30 days of your request
A copy of everything in your workspace Immediately, from Settings, by the workspace owner
Backup and replica expiry Within 35 days

What deletion actually destroys

The records, the change ledger, the search index, and the search index's own residue. A full-text index does not remove a deleted term when the row goes: it tombstones it and keeps the token until the index is compacted. Without that final step an erased contact's email stays readable in the index long after the record is gone. We compact on deletion for exactly that reason.

Why deletion is scheduled rather than instant

There is a cancellation window. An accidental deletion that runs immediately is not recoverable by anyone, including us, and the person most likely to delete the wrong workspace is the one working through a support ticket.

You export it yourself

The workspace owner downloads everything from Settings, without asking us and without waiting. The export is complete, meaning every table in the schema is either included or explicitly excluded with a reason, and a build check fails if a new table is neither. It carries the change ledger as well as the records, so who asserted what comes with it.

It is bounded. A workspace too large for one file is refused with a message saying so rather than handed back partial, and we will run it for you in that case. Nothing is ever trimmed to fit.

What we do not claim

This page says what the system does. It does not award us a compliance verdict, a certification, or a coverage claim, because those are not ours to award and your counsel is better placed to judge than our marketing is.
